Sources of Air Pollution Infographic

There are numerous sources for the emission of air pollutants. Almost every person on this planet has contributed to polluting the air that we breathe every day. The infographic above shows us just how many different ways an average person could be playing a part in the polluting of air. Industry and energy supply (non-renewable energy sources) emit unhealthy smoke. Transportation (non-hybrid cars) is another major determinant for air pollution as well as agricultural practices and waste management.

Deaths Linked to Air Pollution Infographic

Air pollution is one of the deadliest and most silent killers the world has ever seen. The infographic above shows that more than 7 million people die from the consequences of air pollution every year. It is important to note what this really means because it states that these people did not die from air pollution but rather from the consequences of harmful toxins in the air which weaken lungs and make the survival chances of people with respiratory problems even lower than what they are. The pollutants in the air penetrate through lungs and wreck havoc. They cause heart disease, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and respiratory infections, including pneumonia. With these health issues, millions of people around the world unfortunately die.
